I bought six of these silver tipped tetras from petco about a week and a half ago. Immediately i noticed a white line on one of their eyes and thought maybe it was an injury from being netted. Now, a week later, it appears to be a worm or parasite of some sort (although i am just guessing here) and it has gotten much bigger. The eye itself is now covered by some sort of clear fuzz/film. I treated him with hex a mit a multi purpose antibiotic, antifungal, antiparasite medication and that didnt help.
I feel really bad for him, and really want to find some way to take care of this problem. He seems to be happy and is active and swimming around the tank with all of the other tetras.
please help
Ive looked in all my books, and looked up countless websites and i cant even figure out what this thing is...
