I have been watching my tetras (Serpaes and Black Skirts)
I have 8-9 serpaes (to lazy to count the things, and 6 Black Skirts.
My Serpaes must be comfortable cause they barely are in a tight school unless they see me with the hose ready for a gravel cleaning.
My black skirts are a mix of old, young, long finned and normal. I have one male that seems a year or two older than the rest. I have a small female that seems to have just reached maturity.
I notice both species show a behavior to the other members of the school. They will slant their body, almost being horizontal, like they turn the body on its side in the middle of the water. They also do this and become darker than normal and flare the fins. They also do this with one fish below and one above. They do this for hours.
