I already have a test kit that tests for ammonia, ph, higher ph, Nitrite and nitrate and I'm just curious so when I run out which one I should get. Any suggestions or does it not really matter? I have a freshwater tank. I use the test tubes kit because of their better accuracy.

I use tetra and nutrafin test kits, won't buy the tetra test strip one's though.

For freshwater tanks what's the best things to test for? Like ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH? Anything else, or does that about cover it?

Also there is kh and gh.

If you can get the comprehensive test done for your tap water and for your tank(s) water, I don't think you would need the harndess testers. That is most likely going to stay relatively constant unless you add decorations. *Speculations*

I bought a test kit with nitrite, nitrate,ph,gh,kh, and when I first started don't use the gh,kh much but it's nice to know what your tap results are in them two.

Just out of curiosity, what's wrong with the test strip ones???

The tetra test strips are not that accurate in there readings compared to liquid test kits.
