I'm beginning to plant my tank w/ 2wpg and only 2 plants so far.

What test kits or specific testing equipment would your recommend?
I would like to save money, but don't take me for frugal, will gladly spend if it help keep my fish healthier.

- would this be good?

thanks for the help, never test myself, just take it to the lfs every month or so.

IMHO I'd go with this test kit API. I used the tetra kit and found them hard to read compared to the test kit in the link I provided. If memory serves me right ppl round here found the tetra kits inaccurate.

I agree with Ted.

Ps: Ted, it's not generally good practice to snip URL's. Without clicking on it, one can't tell where the link leads to (you can usually just hover over a hyperlink text to see the full URL without clicking on it) - and it could lead to an auto virus download programme and a whole host of nasty stuff etc.

Best just stick to using the URL link
hyperlink.gif
and then type whatever text you want to display :)

Depending on how big this tank is, 2WPG might not be considered a low light or low tech tank, you might have to look at using CO2 to avoid issues with algae, have a look at the pinned articles in the planted section for more info.
