What test kits are good to invest in?
Would something of this: Seachem Multi Test Marine Basic is all you would need? Has ph,alkalinity, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate kits into one kit. All you really need to worrie about would ph, ammonia, nitriteand nitrate correct?

Hi. Just to be clear, anything that refers to "Marine" is referring to saltwater. Make sure you get the appropriate kit, either saltwater or freshwater. I use Aquarium Pharmaceuticals liquid test kits. They are accurate and a good price for what you get. Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and pH are the basic ones you need. Some people like to have water hardness kits which would be KH (alkalinity) and GH.

The API master FRESHWATER test kit is a good start.... about £15 (UKP) I would guess around $20 US ?
