test kits or not?

I just thought of it as yes and no.

I said yes, I have had my kit for about a year and used to use it weekly. Now I only use it if I think there may be a problem.

Nah. I dont have one. I know when to do water changes and that. My glass cat kinda tells me the water peramitrs lol. When the nitrates are high he kinda clouds up and if slower swimming. If the amonia is high he is unusualy clear and frantic to hide. Plus 100% watter changes happen over the course of 2-3 weeks.

Absolutely I own test kits! That's what saved my fishies while cycling (yes.. found you guys too late to learn about the fishless cycling ). I used to check my levels on a weeklyl/bi-weekly schedule 'just to make sure', but have lately only been checking randomly or if I think something might be off.
