how do i make my terripins healthy

being a bit more specific would help?

do you have them atm?
if yes give us some details on tank, food etc.

To start with they grow big and require big tanks/ponds (100G+) when fully grown,
they also need some mammoth filtration to cope with the mess that they will produce
