Terricotta pots

Is it safe to use use unglazed terricotta pots in Aquariums?
I have never used them and thought some broken pots would be a good addtion to my tanks.

Any thoughts

ive had terricota pots in my tank and the fish have been ok with them.you need to make sure the sharp edges are sanded down though.

I wouldn't use old ones that have been used in the garden - you don't know what chemicals/pesticides they may have been subjected to
