Terracing - Gravel & Sand

Saw this online and I'm kind of inspired by it.

What are your thoughts on this idea?

I think it's a great solution as I wanted gravel and sand.

my tank has a terrace... i did mine with green slate rocks its alot cheaper than the plastic terrace stuff

you cant really tell that much from those pics but the back is higher by 5-6 inches
