Hi,

I'm about to rescape my 5ft tank completely, rocks, plants and substrate all coming out. While I do this I want to temporarily rehome my fish but I only have a 30l nano tank spare and I'm worried that'll be too small even temporarily. I think I'll need a week or so get the main tank ready again.

I have 1 x red tail black shark (10cm), 6 x clown loaches (8cm), 2 x plecos (8cm and 20cm).

Any advice much appreciated.

The 30 liter is definitely foo small do you have any friends with spare tanks or spare tank room with compatible tank mates and water parameters?

Thanks, do you have a link to one as an example please?
Something like this. Just plain plastic laundry tubs that you can get at your local home store or walmart (or whatever the UK equivalent is). They aren't extremely cheap but a whole lot cheaper than a new aquarium tank, and you can use them for other things when your fish are done with them.

Picked one up, thanks for the advice 👍🏻

The brute is a good choice for temporary fish enclosure. I had purchased Husky tubs frome Home Depot and left fish in them for 2 years while we moved in and got part of the basement finished in our last house. I used sponge filters and the old Aqueon HOB filters on them. Fish were OK. I used s transparent tub for plants, but you have to be careful as they will stretch out due to flimsy plastic and water pressure. I will see if I can find a video of my setup.

So found two short videos. I also had a 350 gallon Rubbermaid tub for some goldfish in our last house. The municipal well water was not good and they had constant issues as well as issues with kitties trying to go fishing which killed my largest ranchu and I just gave up. I don't have any short videos for them.
