What temperature is best for my betta? That's it, really, a nice simple question.

I think it varys depending on tank size etc.

I keep my betta in a 5gal and at a constant temperature of 30 degrees and he seems to thrive at this temperature.

78 - 80 degrees F is the normal range. Some can do ok a bit lower, but I wouldn't go much.
