Telling The Difference Between These Rasboras...

Hi,

I bought 20 Espei rasboras over the weekend, although after researching more into them I have found that there seems to be some confusion as to which one is which.

This is a picture I found on google of an espei rasbora, and this is one of hengeli rasbora..

They were sold to me as Espei but they most replicate the Hengeli rasboras.

I'll get some actual pics of mine up after work, but trying to get a still photo of them seems almost impossible!

If anyone could shed some light on the best way to tell the difference, it would be much appreciated.

Good information with clear photos there.

I have a shoal of ten. I wasn't 100 per cent sure if they were espei or hengel. I know that I definitely have the Hengels now.

They are a great fish and highly recommended for a medium size tank or larger, lovely colours, very active and, in my experience, extremely hardy.
