We are beginners and just got some live rock today and found a teeny-tiny pinkish-red starfish on it. It's probably smaller than a pencil eraser head. We have 4 damsels and 2 hermit crabs in the tank. From what I've read I don't think the star will be botherd by anyone...Right? And does the star need special care??
With it being sooooo tiny i don't think we can identify it, which i guess is okay for now, but it is so small that i'm afraid to touch it. My tiny fingertip is huge compared to it!! I know its alive b/c it's relocated since we've brought the LR home today. I know they eat meaty foods and I'm pretty sure you're supposed to feed them individually by hand or tongs, and I can understand doing this with a regular size star, but what do you do with a bitty one like this!

He'll probably live off of the tiny organisms in the live rock for now. But I'm no salty so don't take that as truth. I'll move this to the marine forum, you may have better luck there

EDIT~ I see you posted there too. Good call.
