Target Puffer Tank Mates

I realise now that Target puffers do not like company in the slightest.

I put ten tiger barbs in with my to puffers because they are so sedentary. I thought it might get them to be a bit braver but they decimated five before I could put them in my sons tank!! Lesson learnt for me but any ideas on why they are so shy. when I ut food in they shoot straight for it but other than that they hardly move and there is plenty of cover and caves in there
 
probably because they're ambush predators. that means they instinctively lay around doing nothing and pretending to be rocks until something yummy shows up.

you're just going to have to resign yourself to a sedentary tank.
 
Very few puffers can be put with anything. That's why its always recommended that they be in a species only tank, usually alone.
