Tarantulas For Beginners

Ok i have an old 2 gallon i want too convert into a tarantula house.....
i need too know EVERYTHING!
its for my partner and itll be a great surprise... anyway guys help needed
specially with the lid what do i use the original tank lid or a made one?

i keep getting little hints like now that tanks empty i could have a pretty little spider...

so as soon as i can find out all i need ill live in the bedroom he can have spider...


i love all animals
i dont mind the tarantula as he will not get it out near me without dieng shortly after

he wants an mexican red knee tarantula...

any help is good
anyway he gets his tarantula shorly ill be allowed too get a border collie pup?

Lol nuh hes a great bloke i got 2 kittens in the past month and in the past year ive lived with him ive had 4 cats 23 mice and 8 bettas
but the bettas all got virus's and died fabulous lol...

plus the amount of mice that have been throught these doors hell love his tarantula in which he wants too call terrence
god forbid he find out im planning on him having one hell not shut up other wise

Red-knees are a good starter species, docile and hardy. Chilean rose-hairs are supposed to be a good beginner species as well.

ur not gonna keep it in a 2gallon are u? coz thats like, really small, when i had my chileans, they were in their own tanks approx 7gallons in size

One small suggestion...Make sure the lid fits really tightly!

my partners sorting it all out he wanted too give it the 20 gallon, but apparantly thats too big?
so hes got a 10 gallon for it hes going with the mexican red kneed ..
calling it terrance or trudy...
yuuuggghh

It would be a waste to give a tarantula a large enclosure; They don't really use a lot of it. Ten gallon is fine.

well we bought a curly hair spidering hes roughly 1 1/2 inches and cutttte!
