is there any way to DIY my own 1-2 gallon tank? i don't want a monster tank, just a 1-2 gallon for a single male betta.

also, is there a way to make an air pump?

i'm 14, i can't afford everything without cheaping out a bit

Try the local newspaper and yard sales - you can pick up some real bargains! In the meantime any kind of large container will do.

Yard sales are definatly the way to go. I picked up 2 10g tanks, stand that will hold both. filters, hoods, lights, air pump, gravel and some misc. decorations all together for a whopping 5 bucks.

If ya got the stuff laying around, use some old window panes and stick em together with aquarium sealant.I asked, (not sure if it was this forum or not) and was told alot of people use window panes.Dont use the windows outta your room, your mum will kill us,LOL!
