Where you live are the prices for a small 1-5gallon tank stupidly high?Im looking for a small heated filtered tank for a betta and i cant find one anywhere for under £40!!!!!anyone know any chain stores etc where you can get a cheap one

Is it for a Betta?? Pets at home do plastic tanks that they sell for small animals suh as goldfish, hamsters, reptiles etc. Add a small heater and a small filter (they do an ideal one for these tanks and you've got the entire set-up for £20 max!!
EDIT: sorry you said it was for a betta!!

i think at world or water in bicester the do compleat set-up for tropical for £20 - £30 plastic tank tho

You want heated and filtered? Well, for heaters, Aquatics online is your best bet. For a cheap heater, you're looking at, £12 or under including p&p. Filter, I'd suggest a small airpump (£6 or less) and either a DIY jobbie or a smallworld sponge filter which you don't actually have to buy refill cartriges for as you can snap the top grill off and keep the biological filter and change/get rid of the carbon. A tank, as I keep reccomending, Wilkinsons. Still going strong, you can also get a nice bag of Dorset Gravel that looks really nice and perfectly covers the bottom for 79p.

I'd say tank, heater and filter, £20 or so, and you can cut a bit of with some diy skills.

My lfs do a glass bowfronted Aqua 40 tank which is 25 litres, - comes with light and filter - for £25. All you'd need to do would be to add a heater. That's in Grantham obviously, but you might be able to find the same thing on ebay.

I have a fish R Fun 5 Gallon Hex tank which is very good, and comes with light and filtration in the hood. All you would have to do is add a cheap heater. They are selling them on Ebay here My Webpage

I have had mine up and running for 2 years and it is absolutely brill. The filtration system is carbon unit, sponge and bio balls. It is of glass construction and is a lovely looking tank. My betta is very happy in there!

i went to pets @ home today.They had a nice coldwater tank with pump for £30 i might get that and a little heater.
