Tanks - How Long

I was wondering how long in your opinion should a tank last for if its looked after? Ive got a Juwel vision 180 which i love its heavily planted ive got it how i want it and it has regular maintaince etc, the reason I ask is I bought a 2nd hand small tank 7 gal that sprung a leak a few days after setting it up (no fish in it thank goodness) but i made me question my Juwel should it last years or a lifetime? I dont see me ever wanting to go larger so would like to keep the juwel but in time is there any chance the seams could give out eventully or am i worrying over nothing!!

it sounds like the 7gal was not on even surface or something twisted it slighlty which weakened the seams...properly looked after and no strain on glass by incorrect stands/surface it should last you a long time
