Tank Worth

Hey Everyone!

I am wondering how much a 2 yr old fish tank would be worth.

It is a 180 Gal tank 6' x 2' x 2'

It comes with an oak stand.

Freshwater, no holes, no scratches, no leaks

Any ideas? It is in great shape, looks new.

It'd be worth whatever you can get for it.Not much help,I know.....but it really depends on what people would be willing to pay in your area(as tanks have to be either collected or delivered)

I am in Michigan,

I'm just looking to upgrade, but hate to overspend what its worth. Just wondering if anyone knows what a good price for it would be.

There's a 5 x 2 x 1.5 at eBay here that closes in 2 hours and the top bid is £5. If you can't get anyone to buy, then it is worthless. If you are in the market, there are some bargains around.

One of the real problems is the lack of portability for these large items. If there is nobody local that is interested, you may end up paying someone to take it away!

Really?!! $180 for a used 6x2x2' seems like a lot of money. Things usually work out that what you guys pay in dollars for something we pay the same in pounds, my 205g custom built tank only cost £240 brand new and you can pick up new 180's for about £150 if you look around.

As said by others a used tank is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, ive bought a few of my tanks second hand and have paid from £2.50 for a 20g up to £12.50 for a 55g.

Just as a follow up, that auction finished and the final bid was £41. I think the seller did well there.

Generally speaking used equipment goes for between 1/3 to 1/2 retail around here. People I deal with find the cheapest retail price & go from there.

http/www.glasscages.com/?sAction=ViewCat&lCatID=2 sells tanks at about the cheapest price around, I would base it off their prices to get a decent deal for both parties.
