Hi guys not been around as much recently finally landed a job - not paying good enough to go out and buy a big tank outright but enough to put away a bit each month and get one this year for 100%.

As a few people knew my flat got demolished last year, well now its rebuilt and were back in and there is about 3 foot around the tank at the moment I have been told I can fill with tank which is just epic for me :D Totally going to do it no idea what will end up stocked in there.

So I think since my last topic my stock has changed somewhat -

- I lost 2 of my Geophagus :( 1 down to disease after the tank move and an other of unexplained (though possibly aggression)
- Moved the remaining Geophagus, 1 Satanoperca Daemon and 2 Krobia sp.Rio Xingu to Euston who we met in Leeds :)

And since then I have added

- 4 Geophagus Wilmenari (spelling) wild caught from the Rio Negro
- 1 Mystery Catfish (a little game for people to guess the ID :) )
- 7 more Lemon Tetras bringing my school to 15 now

So ontop of the others its a well stocked tank at the sizes the fish are at but like I say the new tank is pretty imminent now :)

So without further ado here are pics of the big tank :)

And here are some pics of my catfish :) I have named him Bumble - I am fully aware of what he is but lets see if anyone can guess what he is and what kind of care he will need in the future :) Had him about 6 weeks now and he has just finally started to eat properly!! I am over the moon as he is a great great looking fish :D

Nice little catfish

Even at that size, I'd watch the Lemon Tetra. I had one in a tank that was around 2.5" in length and it was polishing off small (50p size bodies) size Angels.

great looking tank wills , lovee the redmoor wood on the right. and i love your heros severus . gorgeous fish

the catfish isnt a pangasius is it

Ha ha I knew people would guess Pangasious :D Its actually a Ageneiosus catfish at a guess I think its Ageneiosus cf. atronasus but not sure it was labeled as Ageneiosus sp. Blue at Pier Aquatics and I trust their reputation that he is not actually a Pangasious :)

Dre thankyou for that :) I can never remember the name Winemilleri - wine miller i :)

I think the lemons are safe for now as he is blind as anything and only just started taking an interest in pellets - I had tried live frozen flake veggies and pellets and he has finnaly started eating just pellets not interested in anything else.... but I do know they can be predatory but I am hoping the lemons should outgrow his mouth...... hoping.

Lovely looking fish and tank, always nice to see your tank, hopefully it will be a bigger one fairly soon (congrats on finding work btw, I'm currently unemployed now...one out one in...)

That catfish sure does look like the jaws variety :)

Pangasianodon hypophthalmus? or did you manage to find something that doesn't grow to over 4 foot in the wild???

Careful....:

I think Bumble is this one http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=649 but I knew it would make people panic when they saw the pics :D

But what a great catfish? Same shape as a lot of the monster cats looks incredibly like a shark, and he is out all day long he never moves from swimming in the current! Its an open water catfish :)

It ticks a long list of needs for me and catfish and Im so pleased I got him I am so tempted to do the 5/6 hour round trip just to get some more as I do think he would do well in like a trio or something?

Glad for you Wills, be great to see your next project ;) Whenver it comes about.

Stunning Geo's. They are something magnificent.

Love the catfish, very similar to my black collared cat. I would be very tempted to have a small group of them.
