Tank too tall for betta?

How tall is too tall a for a tank for a betta? I want to upgrade my 10 gallon to a 20 gallon tall eventually. 24″ x 12″ x 16″ Are the dimensions of the 20 gallon. So is 16 inches tall too tall? People have told me it has something to do with the way they breathe or something

I would say no it should be fine, we will see what the Betta experts say.

It’s just fine.
You could always put a betta hammock suctioned near the top of the tak. Or use an upturned wine glass as a resting place like I have done.

But that has caffeine which Is a drug. I drink Diet Coke though for the caffeine to wake me up. I don’t like coffee.
