Hi!
I'm currently thinking of getting a 110L for christmas, only it'll be going upstairs in my room which is newly extended. I think it would be fine as its pretty long and not very wide (80x35x40cm) do you think this would be okay? If someone could give me a verdict that would be great, and if you could give me some numbers/stats that would be fantastic! (doing a maths degree :) )
Thanks.

I always try to set my tanks up running opposite any joists, so as to spread the weight out...

It's heavy but shouldn't be a problem. If your room has recently been extended then it's my guess that you know which way the joists run. As previous poster suggested, just make sure you spread the load across 2 or more joists and if you want to make doubly sure then as close to an outside wall as possible.

Remember, a womans double wardrobe weighs a load more than your tank and my wife has 4 of them

Thanks for the replies! I'm definately getting it now!! Now i just need to decide the stocking!!

I have a 450 litre tank upstairs in my room so I'm sure it would be fine. 110 litres isn't very heavy.

If you are still worried about the wieght then place the stand on a big piece of chipboard or plywood. That will spread the load over a wide area.
