Tank Starting To Go Brown

Had my marine tank going for a few weeks now and just over the last day or so the live rock and sand in places is starting to go a light brown in colour.

Is this normal. Had the water tested at the local Maidenheads and they said it was fine.

im not sure on marine tnks but on my freshwater just after it had cycled i got a bloom of brown diatoms which tried to cover everything, a few weeks after it had cycled the brown stuff dissapeared havent seen it since

Yes, it's probably a bloom of diatoms. Perfectly normal and will usually go away/slow down on its own and of course with the help of some inverts.

Yep, agree with everyone else - Diatoms, a natural part of the cycle - if your nitrate is below 10 go buy some cuc - woo hoo

If it were my tank I would get:

5/6 Nass vibex, ceriths or dove (maybe a mix)
2 Astreas
1 hermit - blue leg
