Hey, can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a divider vor a bigger Tank?

I got three Bettas, one in a 1,7 Gallon Tank and then two in bowls! But I would like to put them also in a Tank with each a filter and Airstone, so they can have more room to swimm and some buddies in there (Bob Marley the one in bigger Tank used to have two Ghost-Shrimps, sadly they committed suicide last night and jumped the Tank). I plan on buying one bigger Tank, and put a Divider in there with Sight-blocking (don't know how it's called). So I can keep both of them in one Tank!

Does any of you have Bettas in an arrangement like that? How does it work out? do you have Pictures for me????

Like how large of a tank? I have a 10 gallon that is divided into 2 parts right now, but might be divided into 3. Just have to see if I like any of the males at the LFS tomorrow. ;) Sorry for the crappy pics, but here they are:

The divider is one piece of a binder you'd use for school for right now. My tiny female is on one side and there isn't anything on the other side yet. My male betta is in his bowl in the background, but he will be going into that side when he gets better from his finrot. Anyways you can go to walmart or a craft store and buy those crotchet things for cheap and use them as a divider. I will probably go to walmart today and pick some up. The tank is not done being aquascaped yet so excuse that. :D

Wow, if it is that easy, I probably will get a 20 Gallon or so, divide the Tank in three parts and just put all three of them in the big Tank and use the 1,7 Gallon for special shrimps! I could turn the 1,7 Gallon then in a saltwater, once the bigger Tank is all cycled and ready for fish and the Betta is moved out of there. I'm thinking of getting two Harlekin-Shrimps- or even just one! That'sd be perfect!

With Binder, do you mean a hard binder or those thin plastik once? Do yoiu have one regula (not in the Tank I could see so I do get the absolute right one?

 It is a plastic one, but I think it has a cardboard insertion in the middle. I was afraid it would get wet and leak through the plastic, but it has been only set up for about a week and has been fine ever since. I don't think I have a pic of one though. Just make sure you can bend it because it doesn't fit straight in, you kind of have to shape it to your tank. Or you can just go to a craftstore and get a crotchet pad and then cut it to however big the tank is.

Thank you so much!!!!! I hop e I get to see your Tank once it is done? I'm sure it'll look great. Do you plan on keeping any other (smaller) fish in there with them too or Shrimp?

Well since it is not filtered or anything I plan on only keeping bettas in there. But there will be some hardy live plants in there as well to brighten it up a bit. I will post pics when I am done with it and send them to you. Goodluck on finding the dividers. :D

Thank you, I can't wait to see the pics of your done Tank!

With mine it is still going to take a while- we leave to Germany for three weeks on the 31st of march! I'm not going to start a new Tank until then, when I come back though I'll get a big Tank (PetCo is open by then, too) and do first a fishless cycle until the Tank is good to go! When that is done I'll post some pics, too!!!

Just one more question, if a Tank is not filtered and just a airstone (I assume you are going to use one?), does that one with daily waterchanges also "cycle" over time or do you just do lots of waterchanges all the time then!?

Sorry , I'm a pretty new fish-mommy and still have a million of questions! Thanks for beeing so patient!
