A sponge? then there's a little yellow thing starting to sprout to the left of it. cant get a good pic of it. kinda like a little hairy long thing

I would oust the filter foam in your filter. Are you going FOWLR or Reef?

for now i'm going FOWLR. i have taken out my foam already. so as of right now only thing that's in it is the matrix, and the purigen.

tuesday i will be taking out the matrix rock and adding rowaphos in it's place and also adding carbon

Nitrate - 10ppm
