Im gonna boost you up as i havent seen anyone respond. I cant find a link to the site that you are referring to with prices. If you can find a better link i will take a look. Bare tanks no stand or hoods are usually pretty cheap.

Tanks, even new, are cheap. Used, they're even cheaper...

Of the almost $1600 I've spent on my new 40g, only $85 of it was on the tank itself.

I spent £3500 on setting up my marine tank. Still didn't get as much as I neede though!!

It's a high-tech planted tank. 4wpg lighting, pressurized co2, full fertilization... all sorts of madness.

Stand: 125
Filtration: 80
Heater: 50
Lighting: 230
Co2: 400
Ferts: 35
Substrate: 40
Driftwood: 35
Misc: 125
Shipping: 80
Fish: 100
Plants: 60

Give or take a bit here and there...
