I have a little tank, and it looks to be around 1.5 gallons. what can I put in it aside from a betta? Are there any 1g filters?

I have used this Red Sea Nano Filter on a small betta tank with good success .

Where did you get it, and are there any 'fish' I can have?

I purchased my power filter at PETCO in the US. If you do a search on "Red Sea Nano Filter" I'm sure you could find it cheaper than what I paid. Instead of using the supplied (small) sponge filter, I resized an AquaClear sponge for a better fit.

As far as companions for the betta in a 1.5 gallon, I would think your choices are limited in that small of a container. Maybe a ramshorn snail or a couple of ghost shrimps would work. ????

As you probably know, keep an eye on the water quality. It can be tuff to keep that small amount of water stable. :)

The problem with most fish is that they need better water quality and better oxygenation than you are going to be able to achieve in such a small tank; also, for their wellbeing they need more room to swim. Bettas can cope because they are such slow swimmers and able to breathe from the surface.

Btw I hope you have plans of replacing the tank in your signature with something a good deal bigger; can't see any of those fish living to a happy adulthood in a 10 gallon.

I get this all the time here, dont worry about it I am getting a 40g for xmas :hey:

I know they all get to big there, especially the angels. As of now though they are no bigger than 1.5"s each.

BTW, If I keept the filter, an air pump, and did a WC every 4 days, are there any 'fish' I could keep? I know you said no, but im not sure if that was a no even with stable water conditions.

nope, nothing else really
tank is too small for almost any fish to swim in there, except a betta and frogs.
