Tank Plants

Hi I have a new tank and just stated stocking after several water test at my lfs. My fish are fine and tank is doing great but the plant I have put in appear to be dieing. Every time I come home there is leafs floating on the surface and the ones left on the plants are going brown HELP???

What light do you have? Do you leave it on all day? My cousin turns his lights out during the day which caused plant death, I told him to leave it on at least 14 hours and he did so, plants are doing fine now.

Got the standard Juwel light and the light is on from around 17.00 to 23.00!

Do you know the name of the plant? This might help us to help you thanks

It's not unusual for new plants to shed leaves at first; give it a week or two, then if they're definitely dying, it could be because some shops sell non-aquatic plants as being suitable for tanks.
