hi, just wondered if anyone has purchased any of these tanks, item number 120216678916, and if they have ,what they think of them, i`v been watching them for several weeks and they seem to sell loads, but it would be nice to hear off someone who`s actually bought one of these as to what they think of them,i`m undecided as whether to buy or not, many thanks

I quite like the look of that tank at a first glance.

I wouldn't be worried about the A grade thing, unlikely to be much of a mark on it.

Dimensions are a little odd, long and high but not very deep from front to back, could be a problem for big fish turning round easily.

I would be a bit concerned about the finish as it doesn't appear to be a branded tank. I'd prefer to actually be able to see it and check how sturdy and well-made it all is.

I'd definitely budget for a new external filter instead of what is fitted - would be good to know what lights it had too and whether bulbs were easily replaceable.

In short, nice looking tank and maybe an absolute bargain but a bit of a gamble.

The feedback looks good.

What have these been going for?

If I was you, I would be inclined to look for a second hand Juwel/Rena etc on Ebay with some extras and if you're worried go and see it before you bid.

I've always done very well on second hand tanks. Probably end up cheaper than this.

yeah, and you know what they say ,if something looks to good to be true,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i`v actually got a rio300 but i`v got a severe back problem and i`m struggling purely with the depth, so i`m looking, without any luck for something about 5ft long but maybe about 2 or 3 inches depth smaller, most 5ft seem to be about 21 inches

You could condider a custome tank :good: They aren't always too expencive either, and will be made to YOUR specifications, rather than the manufacturers. For example you could use hicker glass, to reduce pressure on the seams, and thus theoreticaly increase the tanks lifespan. The only issue then, is a good stand. I'm shure you ae aware of the fact that these tings are realy heavy, and need an appropiate place to be positioned.

All the best

I have one, it came last week, I like the fact it's not deep as it doesn't take up too much space
It's well made, easy to set up and arrived quickly and I still can't see what the imperfection is with it
So yes, I can recommend it from personal experience
Here's a pic of mine set up (no fish in it yet, haven't transferred them over from the old tank)

By the way they are Jinlong tanks

I have got a badly slipped disc and I did not struggle with the depth of this tank, just so you know :good:
