tank mates for green spotted puffer

Hi, I just read on another forum where blue legged hermit crabs were added to a puffer tank that was close to marine conditions. They had lots of shells to hide in as well. Have any of you added these creatures to your puffer tank(s)? If so what is your feed back?

hermits are hardy and would survive in a brackish tank but should we take advantage of that? I think that it would be unfair to expect a reef animal to have to adapt to brackish conditions. you could try red claw crabs which are often sold as freshwater crabs but do well with a little bit of salt. these may take small fish but I should think the puffers will be ok

I suspect that any crab/crawfish you house with the GSP's will eventually become supper.
