[/quote]

yea i didn't mean for it to turn into an argument, its just thta i wanted to try to put across that just because dar feels that way doesn't mean they should try to force it and flame on another because they feel differently. i guess it came out wrong

None of what i said was intended as a flame, i was putting across that its a common mis guided part of this hobby people think a 1 gall flower vase is a good home, when ideally its not, they are from Thailad, Malasia and their natural habitat is paddy fileds and the like, these are about a foot deep and very wide. If you really want to keep Bettas in cramp conditions then at least make the tank wider than taller so they can actually swim.

My PK male who has a new home in a 10 gall likes nothing more than to dart along from end to end noising up the tetras. This wouldnt be possible if he were in a tall thin container. I just feel that if you want to keep them in a tiny container at least make it one thats long and wide rather than tall and thin. :good:

That post was much, much better. :flowers: However, my point is still that this whole discussion is out of place in this topic.

Why not an approach that tells us about your tank make over rather than something that feels like a lecture. No offence intended, just a suggestion. This thread is an exibit of Liberty's new tanks, not a request for instructions or a complaint about how unhappy her fish are. I'm sure we would all like to see your pk and his new home. And Liberty probably wouldn't mind if you posted it on her thread or a thread asking everyone to post pics of their tanks. But most would just as soon do without the oft heard lecture--like this one of mine

By the way: Welcome to the forum! ;)

Thank you JollySue :flowers: Yes Dar, I would love to see pictures of your boys tank, and wouldn't mind at all if you posted it in my thread. Is he in there alone? Or with other fish as suggested in your siggy? -_-
