I went to check on my 10 gallon cory fry tank when I noticed a large pool of water on the wooden table my tank is on and on the floor. I thought my tank was leaking but I quickly realized it wasn't. I had a small towel resting on the lid of the tank in case I spilled some food or water so I could just take the towel and quickly clean it up. Well stupid me realized the end of the towel was dipping into the tank, completely drenching the towel, and leaking everywhere. I wiped up all the water but the Hikari First Bites I feed them was open a crack next to the tank and water got in the bag of food. Some of the food is still powder while some is a kind of paste from the water. If I let the food dry out can I still use it to feed my cory fry? Thanks in advance.

Probably, but you may need to crush them with a rolling pin or something. Those things are tiny and need to get back to tiny if you are feeding babies, otherwise it will go uneaten, tank gets dirty....yes I've gotten my Hikari first Bites gag wet before lol.

The night this happened I moved all of the dry portion to a separate bag and decided to keep an eye on the rest of it to see if it grew mold or not. Today I am almost out of the dry portion so I went to look at the rest of the food. It grew mold all over the rest of it so I had to throw it away. I can't find any more Hikari First Bites anywhere near me now and none of the fish stores I go to carry it. Is there another brand of fry food I can try to find for the baby mollies and cories?

Maybe try putting a little bit in a container or the lid then use something to grind it up.

Petco carries it or you can order it on Amazon Prime if you’re a member. :)

You will need to feed them baby brine shrimp to get them to really grow. Google how to make a baby brine shrimp hatchery out a water bottle, air pump and tubing, and a cheap desk lamp. Very easy to make. I recommend buying San Francisco Bay brine shrimp eggs to hatch. :)
