Tank Layout For Pygmy's

Does the photo's below look like a good layout for pygmy's?
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TANK IS NOT THE ONE I HAVE MY PYGMY CORYS IN, IM JUST ASKING ABOUT THE LAYOUT.

Layout looks good wee bit of advice-that aquaball filter does better above the water line,it has a ventura on top that sucks in air

I think the sand is a little too thick. I've just switched over to sand so I don't know everything there is to know, but I'd be worried about the sand not being able to get cleaned properly. I've read its best to keep the substrate about 1 inch thick. But I could be wrong, too. But yes, other than that, very nice!

Ok thanx people, i know the aquaball can be above waterline but its only a temp filter till i can get a smaller one.
If anyone can tell me if the sand is too thick please let me know, cos mine is roughly the same thickness as in the pic.

looking at it again i would say too much sand also,maybe half of that amount would be good,look at my pic,its only a half inch deep,i didn't want it deep due to being a breeding tank.
