Tank Heater

Help : My Tanks Heating Element has decided to break down, at 9.30 at night. Does anyone have any ideas on temp solutions in maintaining the temp overnight, until a replacement can be obtained.

cover the tank with a towel. That's all I can think of.

Remove some of the water when its cold and add hot water to it. If you have some foam put that ontop/sides instead of the towel. Good luck

Hmmm....a friend i know had this happen except his didn't turn off and it boiled the fish...and he had 10 discus and many other expensive fish, not a preety site. Many peole think im drastic but you should change your heaters once a year (even the warrenty is 1 year) because most go bust after a year or so
