Hi , I am having trouble locating an LFS that stocks tank dividers, it's something I have never used before but need to move some fry into my main tank. Has anyone here ever made one?
If so what materials would I need and what is the best way to set the tank up ?
Any feedback/info appreciated :good:

There is a place in London either W1 or SW1 that sells such a tank,, cant recall the name of the shop now but its the only one there in that part of London. also they sell or at least used to see dividers

me? I would get PLASTIC and cut to fit and do a really good bodge job with silicone (aquatic standards silicone remember) and bingo

or get a simple small extra tank,,, be easier and less messing and cheaper

Depends how perminante and how long you want this adaptation to run for .. also rememberer the water will not mix !! So you need filtration for both and we don't want fry purée

The most common DIY approach to a tank divider is to use a piece of the plastic mesh meant for embroidering pictures and to match it up with the report binder plastic edges you can buy for turning in reports in school. The edges slip right onto the mesh and can be attached to the tank in any number of ways. The most common way to attach it is using silicone sealant but that means not using the tank for several days after the divider is siliconed in place.
