My sister inlaw just dropped off 2 pieces of glass.

Written in coner it states:
Tempered
16 CFR 1201-CII
Ansi Z97.1-1984
1/8U SGCC-598
AFG C201
BS6202A

Anyone know what this crap means?
Just wondering if I could use this in making a breeder tank?Thoughts or suggestions are very welcome!
Will wait for responses!

The tempered glass means it's been toughened, good point is its strength bad point is it can't be cut very easily as it is likely to shatter

The 16 CFR 1201-CII refers to the specific US Code of Federal Regulations paragraph and it means that it complies with that standard. The ANSI standard number again refers to a standard that the glass meets. The others are standards that I am not familiar with. If you forget all that, try looking instead to the glass being tempered glass that complies with some kind of standards, so the fact that it is tempered is something that you can trust. It is not merely advertising hype. Now that you know for sure you are dealing with true tempered glass, you must treat it as such.
When I worked for a living, last week, I held a license under title 10 CFR 55 as a senior reactor operator. It merely meant that my training etc. complied with the regulations under that standard. It meant nothing beyond that in terms of any other knowledge I might have.
