Hello guys! Today im starting a cycling jornal with a 10 gallon long!! :) i hope to see good results!
Added gravel: Green and blue
Added sevral different color plants, green, neon green, A red brownish plant.
Tested PH 7.6
Tested chorine 0!
And got an old filter up and running ill post pics asap!

Yeah i tested it :) it came out to zero which is good lol

No, i have a test strip that does chlorine.

Um, ok. Random. I don't see the point in testing for chlorine - you should be adding water conditioner anyway, there are other things which need neutralising other than chlorine, such as chloramine. Tap water is harmful to filter bacteria as well.

Do you actually have a test kit for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?

Sadly no but i am getting one later :) might as well use what i have now :)

How are you going to cycle a tank without knowing what the readings are for all three?

How are you actually cycling it? Adding ammonia or with fish?

Fishless cycle, Where would i get ammonia in the us?

If you were planning a fishless cycle, haven't you already thought about adding the ammonia? Or were you just going to plug the filter in and wait/add some kind of 'bacterial supplement'? These, generally speaking, don't work.

Try this: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/38840-ammonia-sources-in-the-usa-uk/

Can I suggest you click on the link in my sig and read about cycling because I'm getting the impression you don't really know how to go about it.

For a fishless cycle you will need ammonia, an ammonia, nitrite and nitrate testing kit, and dedication to taking daily readings and feeding the tank with ammonia as necessary. And expect it to take a few weeks at least.
