Ok so the fish selected are a compromise between what my partner and I like. What I would like to know is a) will they all get along and B) are my ideas on tank size correct. Don't forget this is all hypothetical, dreamland, maybe oneday stuff.

Fish:
1 sailfin pleco - 'centerpiece' fish, bottom dweller
6 glass catfish - mid level
10 Corys - not sure what type, maybe pepper. Bottom dwellers
8 Dwarf Neon Rainbows - mid to surface
Opaline gourami (one male or one male some females depending on temperament etc) - mid to surface.
School of something small - tetras or rasboras for activity and a bit of free range food :/ .

Tank:
6' x 2' x 2' (hey - don't forget I'm dreaming here lol)
Sand substrate
Driftwood
Planted (not heavily)

Your thoughts?

btw what I would be after would be a fairly peaceful easygoing tank with relatively hardy fish. Do you think that can be achieved with those fish?

that tank would be massivly understocked... also sailfins dont make too good of a ''senterpece'' as theyre kinda shy

Really?
The Sailfin is my partners idea. These holidays down the coast we saw a fully grown one (about 45cm - stunning fish btw) in a 5 x 2 x 2 and to be honest it looke just a fraction to big for that tank.

What tank size would you recomend for this combination?

Edited to add:
Am I correct in counting about 90 inches of fish all up (give or take)?

go with the tank you mentioned just add some more fish to the list you gave, what he meant was the sail-fin wouldn't be a good centerpiece fish cause they spend a lot of time hiding

i counted more around 50 inches of fish... at full length.. and yes i meant the sailfin would hide alot...u likely wouldnt see him for a few days at a time
