Tank Clean Out

Hi again everyone,

Not posted anything for a long time but the time has come for a good tank clean out and was wondewring how to go about it? will the fish need heat and a pump in the bucket for the length of time they will be in it? do i also reuse the water taken from the tank or use fresh? Is there anything thing i can do to the bog wood while its out to remove the algea?
I also have a massive qty of snails in all sizes and thinking of of a couple of clown loaches to cull them, will they eat them as they are or do i have to crush the snails first?.

you do not need to go to the lengths of removing the fish do you?
just do a waterchange round 25% a week and syphon all the poo up which didnt make it to the filter,,,
snails iam also over run with, clowns dont seem to cull the problem, mine never did anyway,,,,
just manually remove them,,,,


oh yes and i brought a pots n pan brush which i clean the algae from rocks and wood, hard elbow grease is all you need,,,,
