Hi all,
What do you use for your background,
i hear some use bin liners, paint and so on,
can anyone give me some suggestions and how best to attach them,
want something that will stay in place so dont have to move a full tank.
thanks.

I don't use back grounds, I think they look awful personally, the only back ground I would consider using a graduated blue one, a plain wall illuminated from the bottom is my favourite option.

Some kind of vaseline, oil - spread and stick, then use a credit card to get rid of all air bubbles.

Bin liners are good mate, also look at wallpaper samples ;)
How do you go about attaching your bin liner?

Cut it open so its one big sheet, tape it on at the top then pull tight and do the sides. Finally, do the bottom. Do the same with the wallpaper. It's even easier doing that. I guess you could use the water/oil though and squeeze the bubbles out.

OK thanks,
what paint would i use if i was to paint the background?

pretty sure, since its the outside of the tank, any spray paint would be fine. it shouldnt ever come in contact with ur fish, so it doesnt matter.
