Just thought I'd post a pic of my tank now I've managed to get the algae bloom under control. I'm chuffed that I didn't use any chemicals (apart from Rowa-Phos) to achieve the clear water I was after. I also think that for a tank that has been going for over 1 year and four months with no strip downs at all it's doing well.
I'm thinking of placing a large piece of bog wood in the tank to change the look a bit. Any thoughts?

Your tank looks very nice - a piece of bog wood would look nice and if you don't get one too big it probably wouldn't overpower the neat look you already have in there. :D

Beautiful tank, 2nd that nomination for TOTM.

I think maybe if you added a bit of bogwood half behind, half sticking out of the tall plants at the back would look amazing, but as said, don't make it too good as you don't want to spoil your great tank!

I think the bogwood will be great!!!

Just remember that it will lower the PH a bit. A big piece may lower it quite a bit and if you have low PH already then it could be bad the bigger the piece is. I have a PH out of the tap that is 8.0. I put a piece of Malaysian Driftwood in it 12 in. x 4 in. and it lowered the PH to 7.2 :dunno:

Awesome tank!!!

i like it how it is, couldnt hurt to try...

.......... uhh.. yeah???
oh yeah right... TOTM!

I think it looks great  ...congrats on your winning battle over the evil algae :flex:

I think a long, intricate, bottom set piece of bogwood would look good.
Not too big though, wouldn't want to draw away from what you have already achieved! :)

I will 8th that TOTM nom.

Chris.
