Hey...
Just bought a 26 gallon flatback hexagon tank last week. I cycled it and everything and today I bought 5 tiger barbs. I know that they are semi aggresive and are fin biters so I am going to stay with fish in the same category(ex: semi- agressive). Any other suggestions for fish?
thanks

Theres quite a few possibilities, I'd look for some bottom or surface dwelling species so all the water levels are occupied. You can check out the Fish Index for some ideas. Personally a group of Corydoras or a small species of catfish would be my choice. :)

i would get a small school (3-5) of any corydoras type. also, for top dwelling fish i would get some marbled or silver hatchetfish. they are small, and always stay at the top. they only grow to like 2 inches, so you could get 5-7 (they like to school). for the hatchetfish though, make sure you have a good lid and always keep the tank covered, because they will jump out and die!

I'd avoid any fish other than barbs that occupy the same level as the tigers, especially ones with long fins. I agree with the previous posters that cories and hatchets, or maybe danios would be great.
