Tail rot

Hi. One of my male bettas has recently developed tail rot. I keep him in a 1/2 gallon tank and have been treating him maracyn-II for a few days.I cleaned him tank out fully today and added his daily ose of medication and about a 1/2 tsp of salt. Later on today I noticed that him seems to have white flakes on parts of his body. The water already seems to be dirty, but I thin it's from the medication. I just don't know if the white stuff is normal or something to be concerned about. He didn't have the white on him before today and before the salt. Any help or suggestions would be nice.

im not possitive if its fin rot or wat but i do know melafix will make it all better, it can be solf at ur lfs, for now if u dont have melafix jus continue current treatment.
