I have a pond up my street and when me and my sisters were littler we used to catch all the tadpoles in it! they are literally hundreds in this small pond. Is it possible i could take some and set up a tank for them? and what temp and food such they have etc?

it is possible, though not particularly advisable, if they pond they are in is safe and suitable, I'd leave them there. Also do you know what sort of tadpoles they are? what type of frog, toad, newt?

I've caught and raised tadpoles from my community pond but in buckets becuase many ponds have fertilizers and other chemicals. Most likely the tadpoles are just toads. Although it is cool to see them sprout back and front legs.
:D

nah im not sure what they are. im pretty sure some type of frog as i see fogs hop in and out. ill take a closer look next time i walk up there.

I would also be interested to know about this.
Whats the min. tank size (or how much room does each tadpole need)?
Do they prefer cooler to warmer temperatures?

Mainly tadploes need very little room. In the wild some grow up in the center of Bromelaids(type of plant). If you wanted to raise them i would put each one in a small seperate container(something like the smallest tupperware container.)you can order tadpole food or you can try flake food, sinking pellets or algea. Change the water probably once to twice a week depending on the amount of water.
:D

Hmmm

I have a three gallon bucket spare. If i were to dig it into the ground that should be okay?
Ah but one problem, my hole garden is 'artificial' in the sense we have a rock flower bed (no plants), and mostly patio and paving, (just a small grass section).
So when the frogs mature, they have no where to go. Damn, looks like that little dream of mine is screwed :(
