T8 Or T5, 2 Or 4 Bulbs

i have been looking at

this type of unit as my lid is just wood i have made the tank is 4ft wide 2ft each way and i would like some easy to grow plants so just wondering what would be better T8 or T5s and then how many bulbs 2 or 4. although i havnt found any units that hold 4 bulbs but pretty sure there around somewhere

4,2,2 (ft) so quite deep would like live plants but nothing special just the easy to grow stuff.

if you can afford 4 bulbs then go for 4. t5's are more powerfull and brighter. you could be running a mixture of daylight, plant growth and fish color tubes. you could also reserve one tube for a very dim moonlight effect for night time. i would love 4 tubes

If your going low tech I'd get the 2 x 54 T5's if you buy 4 you may need more things tweaking so to speak, light really is the thing that affects everything in a planted tank, more light, less room for error.

thanks for all the help the light unit doesnt say how long the bulb can be,

this bulb says its 54w and is 46" long so would probably just fit in my tank but no idea if it would fit in the controller

Just updating as will be ordering these very soon so would like to know if the above bulbs would work, after I have got these glad to says I have everything I need for the tank although it is already set up with gravel filter etc just no lights atm
