can i use any t5 lamp from bulb suppliers or do i need special aquarium ones

a T5 is a t5 is a t5 !!!!! as long as your control gear is designed to run t5s then any lamp will work - the point is, will the "non aquarium" lamp be the "right" colour ?

does anyone know of any online retailers for t5 tubes they need to be 438mm to fit on the trigon350

nearly every aquatic shop on the internet will stock them!

i am struggling to find any as most of there t5 tubes seem to be from 55cm upwards and i need the 438mm

any reccomendations please

type 438mm t5 into google, and look at all the results, i have looked and there are plenty m8.

I'm afraid juwel seem to use non-standard T5 tube lengths, presumably just so you have to pay more for juwel ones.

JW Electrics did mine for a 4ft tube but can get most sizes in most colours....
