Hi All,

I'm looking at using interpet t5's for my new aquarium, however from what I can make out the starter units are magnetic ?

Is there an electronic equiv to interpet starters ?

In an ideal world, I'd love something that's dimable, but you cant have everything can you.

Cheers Stuart

but you cant have everything can you

YES you can ! But you need to look further than the LFS... check out electrical distributors either online or locally. :good:

I know what the answer to this is going to be 'google' but any pointers ?
Are the interpet T5 tubes worth considering as a tube, or should I look at linier T5's ?

Thanks

Stuart

From what I've heard, the Interpet units are decent...

Ive had a lot of gear from here LINK but any local distributer could be cheaper due to lack of postage !

I've managed to track everything down, except suitable end caps for the interpet tubes, can you get spares for the interpet range do you know ?

Thanks

Your local fish shop should carry those... exactly what I did ! Funnily enough they were the most "how much ?" parts ! lol (about a fiver a pair)

Well after some research, Ive found a supplier of a dimmable ballast that will drive a 55w Power Compact.

Hopefully within a couple of weeks I'll have the parts, and have built a "proof of concept" unit.

Cheers

Stuart
