I have an overtank luminare with 2 x 18w T5 power compacts (approx 10" double tubes)

At the moment one of the tubes is a white one rated at 8700k and the other is a blue tube (not true actinic as there is no such thing in the power compact range).

What I want to do is change the tubes so they are both white but the only power compact tubes I can find in the correct size (18w/12") are the Interpet 'Beauty Light' range which are crap and give off completely the wrong light spectrum.

Does anyone know where I can get these size tubes as it's driving me up the wall trying to find some :S

The only other option would be to buy a completely new luminare or to retro-fit 2 x 24w T5's in there which means buying new starter gear as well.

Are those beauty tubes good for anything?
Seeing in the dark....that's about it. The light spectrum they produce has no real benefit to plants, macro algae or corals so all they are good for is illuminating a tank.

Thanks for the link but they have no 18w (which must be smaller than 12" if the 24w are 12") :(.
The tubes themselves are fine, 'Daylight Plus' have had good reviews from the peopleI know that use them and they are especially good for sump lighting as the marcro algeae loves the spectrum they give off.
