As some of you know I just got a hamster and he is really entergetic trying to climb up the sides. The thing that concerns me is he is making noises every now and then. Is this okay? He usually calms down when I walk away and turn the lights off but still trys to escaped he hasn't stopped running around yet.

Hamsters need exercise and lots of it. If they dont get it then they will try to get out or sit and chew the bars all night.
Have you got a solid wheel he can run round in or tubing ? Hamster ball to run some of that energy out?

Well I just got him today and yes I got him a wheel he has been running on it actually I can hear him right now Lol. I think he will calm down tho I am gonna let him get use to his new home before I try to handle him or anything.

He should settle down a bit within a week. He's just getting used to his new environment, which is something VERY stressful on a prey animal, because they're so obsessed with their own defense that a new environment they don't know is upsetting for them.

What kind of noises is he making?

Can't really describe it but its been an hour and I dimmed the lights and while I am looking at the computer I hear the wheel going which for some reason I find funny.....
