That fish looks more like a Synodontis ocellifer to me.
According to PlanetCatfish.com, they get up to 8" and are omnivores, but prefer more meat in their diet. I would feed shrimp pellets, bloodworms, and any meaty pellets with spirulina tablets added in as well.
As far as I know, you cannt sex Synodontis cats by looking at them. Many are bred by hormone injection in fish farms.
